Great for divers. Green lipped mussel farm across the other side of Port Underwood Nearby Horahora Kakahu Island is historical for the local chiefs signing the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 There is nearby power pylon that has been built following the strict guidelines for the building of a dwelling at a safe distance from power towers. Cedarview is a great spot to celebrate Waitangi Day. Horahora Kakahu Island is in Port Underwood, which is where the treaty was signed in the South Island in June 1840 |
